Kristen + Kelsey - Studio Engagement

I remember when I first met with Kristen and Kelsey and chat about their upcoming wedding and to start planning their engagement session. I always include a complementary engagement session with all of my wedding packages, because not only does it allow us to take some gorgeous photos, but it also gives us a chance to work together before wedding day. (This way when wedding day arrives, the couple will already be used to how I direct and be more comfortable in front of the camera). It's really a win-win!

I'll never forget when Kristen said "we aren't really 'engagement photos in the woods' type of people". Instead, they pictured a styled studio session with a magazine editorial feel to it. They asked if this was something I'd be willing to do and of course I said "OBVIOUSLY YES!!!!" (yes, with 4 exclamation points). 

Kristen and Kelsey (with the help of their friend Mari) put so much time and effort into their engagement session that it was literally a dream to photograph. Kristen even surprised Kelsey with her mother's engagement ring, a moment that definitely had me tearing up behind the camera. These two have such a great relationship and love for each other that is amazing to see. They also have such a wonderful creative vision that I am counting down the days to their August wedding- it is sure to be beautiful day!
