Shamsa + Muhammed - Punjab Banquet Hall Wedding

I was so excited when Shamsa’s sister, Sabeen, contacted me to photograph her sister’s wedding. I will admit, I was a bit nervous as I had never photographed a Punjabi wedding before. However after going through all the wedding details with them, the nervousness was quickly replaced with pure excitement.

Shamsa and Muhammed’s wedding was celebrated over two days. The first day featured a ceremony where their families offered their blessings to the couple. We met up at the Forks before this ceremony, so that we could get some photos of them in their outfits first.

The next morning, I headed over to the Fort Garry Hotel, where Shamsa and her sisters were getting ready. Shamsa and her sisters are not only breathtakingly beautiful, they are also some of the sweetest girls I have ever met. They had all of Shamsa’s jewellery and other details ready so I could photograph them. (And oh my goodness, were the details ever gorgeous. Look at those shoes!)

Once everyone was wedding-ready, we headed over to the Legislative Building for some portraits before heading over to the Punjab Banquet Hall for the wedding ceremony and reception. At the end of the evening, all of the wedding guests gathered around to send off the couple, which was so incredibly beautiful.

Shamsa and Muhammed are an adorable couple and their wedding was so gorgeous. I’m so honoured that they chose me to capture it for them!
